ALS and Piano Key Variations
Posted by Julie_Lawson on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010
Been a busy couple of days around here – I’ve quilted 8 quilts. Ok, some were small, but quilted they are. Now to find time to do the paperwork end of things! I am so bad at that part!
I’m still raising money for the ALS Foundation. It’s on my mind more in the last few days than it has been in a long time because for the first time ever, our own MLB team, (TX Rangers), have moved beyond regular season play. They are currently in the second round, and their opponents? Lou Gehrig’s team, the Yankees. As I watch, I can’t help but think about Lou Gehrig. What a huge baseball great he was, and how quickly and dramatically ALS completely devastated him.
I am offering some variations of my Piano Key border patterns for any and all direct donations to the ALS Foundation on or before October 29, 2010. I hate to ask for money for my cause without giving you something in return, so this is my small part for my cause. Here’s the link to donate if you’re so inclined: http://tinyurl.com/2clxaq2
Here are some photos that Geri Davidson was kind enough to share with me of her quilt using one of these patterns:

And here’s a link to Geri’s Webshots album. You can see additional photos of this quilt there. I want to quilt like Geri when I grow up!! http://tinyurl.com/239xkad
Hugs!
